What is Bulgur?
Ceren Brown Bulgur is made from the groats of several different durum wheat species. Bulgur is a kind of dry wheat. It is most common in European, Middle Eastern, and Indian cuisine. Bulgur has many different varieties. This variation is brown (whole wheat) bulgur.
Bulgur: The Superior Grain
It has a similar texture and taste to couscous and is often a healthier substitute. Due to its high nutritional value, bulgur is most of all excellent for losing weight and dieting. Its high protein and fiber content make it an optimal choice over rice and quinoa. Bulgur is therefore more optimal than rice and quinoa because of its protein content.
